The Josh Place will be a Mental Illness Community-Based Residential Facility (organization) that will operate in Omaha, NE.

The Josh Place is named in honor of Joshua Schweinfurth, a remarkable individual who touched many lives. Joshua passed away at the age of 31, but his legacy continues to inspire those who knew him. He was a devout follower of Jesus, placing his faith at the forefront of his life.

Joshua battled Schizophrenia for over 13 years, a struggle that shaped his compassionate and selfless nature. Despite his own challenges, he was dedicated to helping others with mental illness. Joshua would often drive his friends to their appointments, using his ability to drive as a means to support those in need. His generosity knew no bounds; he would give his last dollars to ensure his friends had food.

Joshua was also known for his incredible sense of humor. His wit and laughter brought joy to everyone around him, making him a beloved figure in his community. The Josh Place stands as a testament to his kindness, humor, and the courage he showed daily to smile amidst the voices he fought.
